About the program: Purpose: To protect and promote the health of
all the people of Alleghany County. Provides vital statistic records,
immunization, family planning services and referrals, WIC, prenatal supervision,
STD diagnosis and treatment, TB diagnosis and treatment, home health services,
pre-admission screening for long-term care, sewage system and well permits,
restaurant permits and inspection and rabies control. Maintains log of all
communicable diseases.
