ALLEGHANY COUNTY SOIL SURVEY

Individuals can view and download the newly released soil survey and maps for Alleghany County by going to http://websoilsurvey.nrcs.usda.gov. A copy of the soil survey book and maps can also be viewed in the Public Works Office or the County Administrator's Office located in the County Governmental Complex at 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
